Tayne has been a member of ASSH since 2019 and is a Lecturer in Physiotherapy at University of Canberra. Tayne has worked in physiotherapy clinical education in the public health system since 2006 and has always been interested in innovative ways to improve the learning opportunities for her students. Her passion for the use of simulation in healthcare education was sparked during her completion of her Master of Health Professional Education in 2014. Tayne is currently completing her PhD in the use of classroom-based simulation to train and assess physiotherapy students prior to their commencement of work-integrated learning and the impact it can have on their preparedness. Other research areas of interest include interprofessional simulated learning activities and developing healthcare students’ professional identity through simulation.
