Prof. Sharon Weldon

Professor of Healthcare Simulation and Workforce Development, University of Greenwich

Professor Sharon Weldon is a leading expert in healthcare simulation and workforce development. Her pioneering research challenges conventional paradigms, using simulation to reshape healthcare, test interventions, and engage overlooked stakeholders, while also exploring longitudinal care pathways through sequential simulation. She co-founded the Greenwich Learning and Simulation Centre (GLASC) and has developed surgical team training based on empirical communication models, as well as innovative simulated manikins in collaboration with artists and industry partners. A global advocate for patient safety & experience, she is President-elect of ASPiH, Associate Editor of the Journal of Healthcare Simulation, and a trusted advisor to regulatory and professional bodies.
