The Board of Simulation Australasia invites all members of Simulation Australasia Ltd to the Annual General Meeting (AGM) to be held on Tuesday 18th November 2025 at 11am AEDT
This meeting will be held on-line via zoom. All attendees must be financial members of Simulation Australasia. To facilitate recording attendance, please register here
For the purposes of voting, members attending the meeting must sign into the meeting by 11AM and be registered. Please submit any requests for adding other business or other matters in advance to admin@simaust.com.
Nominations for positions on the Simulation Australasia Board are now open!
As a result of board members resigning or terms expiring, there are several positions available on the Board. The status of board positions is as follows:
Retiring Board Members:
Phil Swadling – Chair of the Board, having served a total of 6 years on the board is not eligible to renominate and will resign from the Board at the AGM
Marcus Watson – Deputy Chair of the Board,having served a total of 6 years on the board is not eligible to renominate and will resign from the Board at the AGM
Jan Roche– Member of Good Standing, having served a 2-year term following election in 2023, will resign at the AGM and will not be renominating for the Board
Gary Eves, Member of Good Standing, having served a 2-year term following election in 2023, will resign at the AGM and will not be renominating for the Board
Derek Wade, Member of Good Standing, having served a 2-year term following election in 2023, will resign at the AGM and intends to renominate for the Board
Non-retiring Board Members
Fred Hardtke – Member of Good standing, having been appointed in 2024, is not required to stand for re-election in 2025
Guy Wallis - Member of Good Standing, having been appointed in 2024, is not required to stand for re-election in 2025
Elita Huynh - Member of Good Standing, having been appointed in 2024, is not required to stand for re-election in 2025
Michael Johnstone - Member of Good Standing, having been appointed in 2024, is not required to stand for re-election in 2025
Nominations are open for Chair of the Board, Deputy Chair, Treasurer and two Members of Good Standing, noting the above intentions of retiring board members.
We a looking for motivated individuals who are passionate about the advancement of simulation as a discipline, and the simulation community.
Board members are elected for a 2-year term, with a maximum of 3 consecutive terms allowed. Previous board members can re-nominate. The Board Nomination Kit provides information regarding the application process.
